For the first wash, wash your Androsia item separately in hot water to remove any excess dye. After that, wash with like colors using a mild detergent.
Do not use bleach or detergents containing brighteners.
Our fabrics are completely hand-batiked on Andros Island using hand-carved stamps created from our own designs.
Each pattern follows a two-yard repeat, and every yard is a unique piece of art. Variations in wax temperature, stamping pressure, and even a breeze moving the fabric during the process may influence the crackle pattern, color, or placement of each stamp.
These subtle differences are part of the beauty of authentic handmade batik.
